Recognizing the popularity of AR rifles, Nikon has developed a new line of riflescopes built to deliver extreme speed, accuracy and shooting confidence. The M-223 line offers five new riflescopes, all engineered for the 223 Rem./5.56mm NATO round with 55-grain polymer tipped bullet with a muzzle velocity of 3240fps. With Nikon’s latest reticle and adjustment technologies, the M-223 integrates the same level of quality as the flagship Monarch riflescopes.

“The recent surge in AR-type rifle purchases means there is a new group of customers out there learning just how much fun owning an AR is,” said Jon LaCorte, senior product marketing manager Nikon Sport Optics. “We’ve built the M-223 family to help them enjoy and use their rifles no matter if it’s for competition, varmint or predator hunting or just plinking fun.”

All of the new M-223 riflescopes feature Nikon’s famous fully multicoated optics, up to 95% light transmission, waterproof/fogproof/shockproof performance and lifetime warranty.

Designed for AR carbines and popular 3 gun competitions, the 1-4×20 with Point Blank reticle features an extremely large exit pupil for low light performance and a super wide field of view. The all-new Point Blank reticle technology means incredibly accurate and fast shooting from zero to 200 yards thanks to thick reticle posts and purpose-designed 3-MOA center dot for instant targeting on paper or steel plates.

The 2-8×32 is available with Nikon’s all new BDC 600 reticle or the Nikoplex reticle with Nikon’s new Rapid Action Turret system; both are ballistically matched to the 223 Rem. round and offer unprecedented speed in dialing in your shots for virtually any known distance—from 0 to 600 yards.

The big brother of the M-223 lineup, the 3-12×42 with side focus parallax adjustment lays down a serious power range for your most extreme shooting. For long range shooting speed and precision, this new riflescope helps take full advantage of the performance of the 223 Rem. round—from zero out to 600 yards. Available with Nikon’s new BDC 600 reticle or the Nikoplex reticle with the all-new Rapid Action Turret technology.

Additionally, the 3-12×42 and 2-8×32 come standard with Nikon’s Anti Reflective Device (ARD) to eliminate objective lens glare. MSRP for the M-223 family is $279.95 for the 1-4×20 with Point Blank Reticle, $349.95 for the 2-8×32 with BDC 600 Reticle, $329.95 for the 2-8×32 with Nikoplex reticle, $449.95 for the 3-12×42 with BDC 600 and $429.95 for the 3-12×42 with Nikoplex reticle.

Baton Rouge, LA – November 24, 2009.

The new Gunslater from Flextone Game Calls, has now set new standards by introducing their new gun mounted slate call holder. The Gunslater allows the hunter to operate their favorite pot style call with one hand while holding their gun with the other without compromising the calls volume or tone.

Other products must be mounted to the hunter’s leg or gun stock which drastically reduces the volume and totally changes the tone because the call is directed inches from that object and becomes muffled.

The Gunslater’s patent pending design, allows for “Call Forward” calling which points the pot in the same direction the gun is pointing for precise calling. The Gunslater can also be adjusted, allowing for personal preference in the angle at which the hunter rests his hands and operates his striker to his favorite pot call. Due to this revolutionary design, the Gunslater is ambidextrous by nature, allowing both right and left handed use. The “Call Forward” design also hides the hunters hand movements, while calling in that dominant gobbler those final few yards. It also has a peg hole to place your striker right before you pull the trigger. Being that the Gunslater attaches to your gun right behind the receiver and off either side, the hunter is always inches from the trigger, thus reducing additional movement which can spook any turkey. Finally, the Gunslater is completely covered in Realtree’s Hardwoods Green HD making it the ultimate weapon in both concealment and calling, for the wariest of ol’ gobblers.

Baton Rouge, LA – November 24, 2009.

Ever tried to figure out how to spread, mount and dry that new turkey fan you just shot. They are beautiful when displayed, but what a mess you make doing so. Large wooden boards with your latest trophy fan nailed to it not only clutter your home but always seem to be in your way.

The new Fan Dangler, from Flextone Game Calls eliminates the mess and hassle of spreading, drying, and mounting your new turkey fan. The Fan Dangler simply clips to the bottom two feathers on both sides of the fan and automatically sets the fan at the perfect angles for complete fan extension. It includes two separate mounts for your different mounting needs. First, the “Dryer Mount” allows for quick and easy attachment to your fan. The top is in the shape of a turkey head which forms a hook and can be easily hung anywhere out of the way. Being that the fan is upside down, the salt, borax or favorite cure that is applied to the middle meaty section stays in place and reduces the chances of it dropping off onto the floor or other belongings. After it dries, it can be used as a handle when carrying the fan afield while using the fan on your favorite strutting gobbler decoy. The second mount, is the “Trophy Mount” which attaches to the fan the same way, but allows for quick attachment of your beard and both spurs. This is the most inexpensive way to mount your next turkey fan quickly, easily and without the clutter associated with drying turkey fans. The Fan Dangler from Flextone Game Calls……guaranteed to take the frustration out of mounting your next turkey fan from that trophy gobbler.

Nikon Sport Optics is proud to introduce the very first scope dedicated to the slug gun.

Nikon Sport Optics is proud to introduce the very first scope dedicated to the slug gun. Built from the ground up to meet the needs of today’s modern slug shooter, the new 3-9×40 SlugHunter scope is a revolution for an often-overlooked method of hunting.

The Nikon SlugHunter offers hunters a means to take advantage of their shotgun’s shooting characteristics. Designed around Nikon’s patented BDC (Bullet Drop Compensating) reticle system this new scope offers accuracy potential never before thought possible from a slug gun.

Engineered specifically for rifled slug guns, the new Nikon BDC 200 is a trajectory compensating reticle that provides fast, simple aiming points for various shot distances. Calibrated to be sighted in on the crosshair at 50 yards, the BDC 200 has two ballistic circles that represent 100-yard and 150-yard aiming points. For exceptionally accurate gun and load combinations, the lower reticle post becomes a 200-yard aiming point as well.

Well-known hunting writer and slug gun expert Dave Henderson worked with Nikon to develop this scope. His experience and knowledge proved invaluable in creating the ultimate slug gun scope.

“I’ve always been a fan of Nikon optics and working with them to develop a scope specifically for slug hunters was a real joy,” said Henderson. “Slug hunters have long been in need of a scope built for their guns and the new Nikon SlugHunter won’t disappoint.”

A full five inches of eye relief means a safe and comfortable shot with even the hardest hitting magnum loads. Nikon multicoated optics produce crisp, clear images, while 92% light transmission keeps the hunter in the field when the game is moving. The innovative SlugHunter scope features 1/4-MOA click adjustments, 100-yard parallax setting and Nikon’s rugged waterproof, fogproof and shock proof performance.

The New SlugHunter measures a compact 11.3-inches in length, and weighs 13.8 ounces. The scope is priced at $249.95.

Nikon Inc. is the U.S. distributor of Nikon sports and recreational optics, world-renowned Nikon 35mm cameras, digital cameras, speedlights and accessories, Nikkor lenses and electronic imaging products.

Blackpowder hunters now have more options to find the scope that best suits their terrain and style of hunting

The New Omega 1.65-5×36 is a lower magnification, more compact version of its big brother the 3-9×40. Fully packed with features, including the Nikon BDC 250 Reticle calibrated for ballistic tipped sabot muzzleloader bullets, the new Omega is every bit as precise as the original.

“No matter what a hunter’s choice is for a firearm, Nikon has a scope built specifically for that application,” said Nikon Sport Optics General Manager Jon Allen. “From the SlugHunter line to the Omega line to the Encore line, Nikon has more pursuit specific tools than any other optics company.”

Five full inches of eye relief mean you can comfortably and safely mount this scope on even the hardest kicking muzzleloaders. With a super bright exit pupil of 7.2mm and Nikon’s fully multicoated lens you can hunt right up to the end of legal shooting time. The durable one-inch tube features hand turn 1/4 MOA adjustment and a 100-yard parallax setting. Multicoated lens provide 92% Light Transmission for excellent low light performance.

The new Omega is available in a matte finish with the BDC-250 or Nikoplex reticle or Realtree’s APG with BDC-250.
The Modern Answer for Primitive Rifle Season

If you’re heading out for Primitive Rifle Season, Nikon has created a system just for you. It features the 3-9×40 ProStaff riflescope and patented BDC reticle calibrated for 35 Remington, 444 Marlin or 45-70 ammunition. Now accurate and ethical shots out to 275 yards are real possibility—no luck involved. Pair it with a Nikon rangefinder, and you’ll leave other ‘primitive’ hunters in the dust.
